employABILITY: skills for your future provides basic skills for job seekers to stand out to potential employers. Employment skill resources and workshops focus on topics such as resumé writing, interview skills, soft skills, and networking. Teachers and parents will find helpful lesson ideas and resources to use with students studying secondary Practical and Applied Arts courses, English Language Arts 20, and Grade 6-9 Career Education. Job seekers, from post-secondary students to mature workers, will find resources to help refine their skills and build new job search products.
Students and teachers in secondary classrooms across Saskatchewan can contact a Saskatoon Industry Education Council representative to arrange:
- employABILITY workshops for a classroom
- Mock job interviews
- One-on-one resumé coaching for students
